Head of Litigation and Labor

About the role

The Head of Litigation and Labor (AVP) will lead the company’s legal strategy for both litigation and labor matters. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures effective case management, compliance with Philippine labor laws, and proactive risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all civil, criminal, and administrative litigation cases involving the company.
• Develop and execute strategies for complex, high‑risk disputes and review pleadings, legal positions, and case developments.
• Manage external counsel and supervise internal litigation teams.
• Lead labor case handling before NLRC, DOLE, and other agencies, providing guidance on employee discipline, termination, and labor issues.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies, supporting HR and business units in dispute resolution.
• Identify legal risks, monitor legislative developments, and establish best practices for case handling.
• Mentor and develop the Litigation and Labor team, collaborating closely with HR, Operations, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) and member of the Philippine Bar; LL.M. preferred.
• 10‑15 years of experience in litigation and labor law, preferably with exposure to complex disputes.
• Proven experience leading legal teams or managing major case portfolios in corporate or reputable law‑firm settings.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership capabilities.
