Head of Financial Control Division

About the role

The Head of Financial Control Division will lead the accounting function and ensure robust control policies, systems and procedures for Cebuana Lhuillier Bank. This senior position oversees financial planning, budgeting and the integrity of financial statements while guaranteeing compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and implement accounting policies, systems and procedures to protect assets.
• Direct financial planning, budget administration and provide performance insights to senior management.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and regulatory reporting.
• Lead audit teams, monitor audit requirements and resolve findings.
• Oversee accounts payable, payroll, inventory, reconciliations and general ledger activities.
• Enforce GAAP compliance and stay current with taxation, BSP and SEC regulations.
• Prepare performance reports and advise on financial risk and budget implications.
• Resolve escalated accounting issues on complex projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and CPA certification.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field (preferred).
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, including 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, taxation and BSP/SEC regulatory requirements.
• Proven track record in implementing accounting policies, controls, audit management and compliance frameworks.
