Group Cost Accountant

About the role

The Group Cost Accountant will lead cost accounting activities across the company’s food production and garment manufacturing sites. Working closely with production, procurement, supply chain and commercial teams, you will ensure accurate product costing, margin analysis and cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costing models for food and garment product lines.
• Calculate and analyse material, labour and overhead costs across multiple sites.
• Maintain Bills of Materials, recipes and formulations in NetSuite.
• Perform variance analysis, monitor production efficiency and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support inventory valuation, cycle counts and compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead manufacturing cost budgets, forecasts and analyse results against targets.
• Implement consistent costing methodologies and act as NetSuite costing lead.
• Develop KPI dashboards for production and margin performance.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures.
• Knowledge of food production costing (yield, wastage, shelf‑life).
• Knowledge of garment costing (fabric consumption, trims, CMT costs).
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

Required skills

• NetSuite ERP – manufacturing and inventory modules.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
• Strong analytical abilities.
