Global Quality & Food Compliance Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Global Quality & Food Compliance Officer to support Universal Robina Corporation’s commitment to high‑quality products and food safety across all manufacturing sites and suppliers. The role will lead audit activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in quality systems.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report internal, second‑party and third‑party quality and food safety audits for URC Philippines and international manufacturing sites, raw material and packaging suppliers, central laboratories and head office.
• Act as Lead Auditor or audit team member, issue corrective action requests, monitor corrective action plans and validate their implementation.
• Develop and maintain the audit program, track completion, and monitor risk indicators to meet performance objectives.
• Support the Global Quality & Food Safety Compliance Manager in external audits and preparatory assessments.
• Monitor new food safety and quality regulations from Philippine agencies (FDA, DOH, DOA, DTI, DENR, PRC) and communicate requirements to plants.
• Analyse audit data, create visual presentations and provide senior management with compliance performance insights.
• Design and deliver capability‑building programmes to enhance audit system knowledge across the organization.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Engineering or related field.
• Experience in conducting quality and food safety audits in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Philippine food safety regulations and international standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills to convey audit findings and regulatory changes.
