General Ledger Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will ensure the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial records. You will be responsible for recording, reconciling, and reporting transactions in line with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute timely month‑end close activities according to the corporate calendar.
• Prepare and post standard and complex journal entries, including accruals, provisions, reclassifications, and recurring entries.
• Review monthly P&L analysis and balance‑sheet trends.
• Perform periodic balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Process intercompany transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Provide schedules, explanations, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Assist with statutory, tax, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Utilize Oracle Fusion for GL transaction management and reporting.
• Document and maintain accounting procedures and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of relevant accounting experience, with strong exposure to general ledger and month‑end closing.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle Fusion or a comparable ERP system.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
