General Ledger Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team in a hybrid setup based in Carmona. The role focuses on maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, supporting month‑end and year‑end processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including amortizations, accruals, provisions, and GL adjustments using the ERP general ledger module.
• Run daily batch processes, support trial‑balance finalisation, and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Process sales commissions and incentives according to defined schemes and marketing bulletins.
• Assist with year‑end audit requirements and systematic financial document filing.
• Maintain AP/AR functions, perform account reconciliations, and prepare balance‑sheet account schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and CPA certification (required).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant general accounting experience, covering GL management, AP/AR, reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Experience with sales commission processing and supporting audit activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong MS Excel skills for financial reporting and balance‑sheet schedule preparation.
• Ability to run daily batch processes and assist in trial‑balance finalisation.
