Front End Engineer

About the role

The Apex Group is seeking a Front End Engineer to join its New Zealand team. You will be responsible for building and enhancing modern web applications that support the company’s global fund administration and middle‑office solutions. This role offers the chance to work with cutting‑edge front‑end technologies in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance front‑end software systems for Apex New Zealand.
• Write clean, efficient code to solve complex business problems.
• Participate in refinement sessions and help shape optimal technical solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance across applications.
• Promote best‑practice software development standards and contribute to testing frameworks.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Mentor and guide other team members technically.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or Kanban environments.
• Ability to design responsive layouts for mobile, tablet, and desktop.
