French‑Speaking Customer Service Representative

About the role

The Customer Service Representative provides high‑quality support to French‑speaking customers via phone and written channels. The role also assists the sales team by handling orders, providing product information, and following up on leads.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls, process orders, and give product availability, pricing, and delivery details.
• Cross‑train in purchasing, order confirmation, expediting, and Proforma processing.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve pricing, credit, inventory, shipping, quality, and technical issues.
• Monitor inventory for key accounts and alert the sales team of potential shortages.
• Support the Business Development Group with customer follow‑up and outbound calls to nurture relationships.
• Maintain accurate records, data entry, filing, and document organization for account managers.
• Process orders received through the e‑store and EDI systems and assist online customers via chat.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a call‑center or customer‑service environment.
• Strong written and spoken French and English communication skills.
• Good product knowledge and ability to advise customers on applicability and alternatives.

Required skills

• Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interface) systems.
• Proficiency in order‑processing and inventory‑management software.
• Familiarity with chat support platforms and e‑store order entry.
