Freight & Clearing Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Freight & Clearing Administrator to join Spinneys Philippines’ supermarket supply chain team. In this position you will coordinate imports, freight movements and customs clearance to ensure that products reach our stores on time and in compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor incoming shipments from suppliers to warehouse destinations.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare, review and maintain all import and clearing documentation.
• Track shipment progress, verify customs clearance and ensure timely delivery.
• Validate freight, duty, customs and clearing invoices for accuracy.
• Resolve shipment delays, documentation issues and clearance discrepancies.
• Work with warehouse and procurement teams on delivery schedules and stock arrivals.
• Maintain accurate records of shipping documents and logistics transactions.
• Monitor logistics costs and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import requirements and company policies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in freight forwarding, customs clearing, logistics or import/export administration.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, supermarket or wholesale environments is an advantage.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
