Financial Controller – Pasay, Philippines

About the role

The Financial Controller will join the Finance team in Pasay and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data across multiple entities and functions. The role guarantees that all transactions are recorded timely, completely, and in line with Vestas Financial Guidelines and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with group accounting policies during month‑end closing and support the SSC Finance Account to Report team.
• Perform in‑depth legal entity reviews of financial statements, sign‑off for submission to Group reporting, and provide analysis of account balances.
• Deliver accurate performance reporting with focus on Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss, including commentaries on variances and trends.
• Resolve complex accounting issues and ensure proper treatment of all line items in the financial statements.
• Act as the primary contact for the Regional CFO, conduct pre‑close meetings, and coordinate regular review sessions with Finance Operations (AP, OtC, RtR, FP&A, Business Finance).
• Control balance‑sheet items, monitor discrepancies, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with business finance.
• Address inquiries from Group reporting during consolidation and support audit requirements through regular controls and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to group accounting policies for General Ledger accounting and closing tasks across the SSC Finance organization.
