Finance & Operations Lead – Remote (Philippines)

About the role

We are seeking a senior, hands‑on Finance & Operations Lead to oversee the financial rhythm and operating controls for a small portfolio of Australian entities, including a health‑wellness business with physical inventory. The role is remote, based in the Philippines, and works on Australian business hours, reporting directly to the founder.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑stack finance functions: day‑to‑day bookkeeping, month‑end close, accounts payable/receivable and payroll coordination.
• Maintain a granular weekly cash‑flow operating rhythm to protect and optimise working capital.
• Oversee inventory planning, stock levels and cost of goods sold to eliminate waste and avoid stock‑outs.
• Drive cost‑optimization initiatives such as zero‑based budgeting, SaaS spend audits and operational cost reductions.
• Ensure accurate expense categorisation and compliance with Australian tax requirements (BAS, GST, Superannuation, STP, FBT).

Required profile

• 5–8 years of finance and operations experience with Australian small‑to-medium enterprises.
• Proven track record of proactive, analytical thinking and delivering cost‑saving insights.
• Hands‑on experience with inventory systems and stock‑control processes.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Xero in a multi‑entity environment.
