Finance Controller

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead the finance department of a private credit platform focused on high‑potential Philippine SMEs. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, internal audit, investor relations, tax, and treasury functions.
• Lead preparation and review of financial statements for board reporting.
• Review and approve filings to SEC, BIR, PSE and other regulators.
• Supervise the Accounting & Finance team, providing guidance and performance monitoring.
• Conduct regular tax audits and ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Prepare budgeting reports and revenue forecasts.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Develop and implement accounting policies aligned with strategic goals.
• Collaborate with senior management on financial strategies and plans.
• Maintain banking relationships and represent the company with investors and other stakeholders.
• Arrange debt financing and investment of excess funds.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance, banking or lending environments.
• Proven senior‑level experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Accounting Manager or similar.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, laws and regulations.
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage a team effectively.
