FCC Policy and Advisory Officer

About the role

The FCC Policy & Advisory Officer supports Maybank Philippines in managing financial crime risk. The role ensures that the bank’s policies, procedures and systems comply with local and international AML/CFT and sanctions regulations, and provides guidance to business units to maintain consistent compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and advise business and support units on AML/CFT and sanctions requirements in line with Maybank policies and local regulations.
• Develop, deliver and continuously improve FCC training programmes to incorporate new rules, regulations and emerging trends.
• Review and update existing policies and procedures of business units, support units and the FCC function to align with regulatory changes and Maybank Group standards.
• Escalate potential or actual compliance gaps or breaches to the FCC Policy & Advisory Lead or FCC Head, conduct root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor the implementation of FCC initiatives, projects and remediation activities across the bank.
• Perform any other tasks related to the FCC function as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Relevant compliance experience within the banking sector.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in AML/CFT and sanctions compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
