Experienced General Ledger Accountant

About the role

Join the newly created Financial Centre of Excellence in Zaragoza as a General Ledger Accountant. You will work within a multinational automotive supplier, supporting month‑end processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting in both English and Spanish.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger bookings and support month‑end closing activities.
• Open and close accounting modules, communicate with controllers and plants.
• Determine and post month‑end accruals for purchase orders, pensions, taxes, payroll, etc.
• Support pension, tax and deferred tax booking and reconciliation.
• Implement account reconciliations, controls and compliance procedures.
• Handle inter‑company and intra‑company reconciliations.
• Analyse and justify P&L and balance‑sheet account balances.
• Validate month‑end closing entries with controllers and interface with auditors.
• Manage foreign‑currency revaluations and process payments, bank statements, and bank reconciliations.

Required profile

• Finished degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of practical accounting and finance administration experience.
• Experience in a large multinational, preferably in automotive or manufacturing.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (or French).
• Experience in a Shared Services environment is a plus.
