Executive Director, Center for Research and Innovation

About the role

The Center for Research and Innovation seeks an Executive Director to lead its institutional research agenda, drive interdisciplinary initiatives, and oversee innovation and technology transfer activities. This senior position reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and works closely with the college’s research governance bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the institution’s research and innovation strategy.
• Promote interdisciplinary, community‑responsive research projects.
• Oversee research ethics, publication, and intellectual‑property policies in coordination with the Miriam College Research Ethics Committee.
• Manage research grants, external partnerships, and funding compliance.
• Lead capability‑building and mentorship programs for faculty and students.
• Supervise the creation and maintenance of centralized research repositories and digital research systems.
• Ensure compliance with CHED, DepEd, and other regulatory standards.
• Prepare strategic plans, accomplishment reports, and operational documents for the VPAA office.
• Supervise Center personnel and daily operations.

Required profile

• Earned PhD or equivalent research‑oriented doctoral degree from a recognized university.
• Minimum seven years of progressive leadership experience in institutional research, research administration, or innovation management.
• Strong scholarly record: at least five peer‑reviewed publications, with three indexed in Scopus or Web of Science, and recent lead authorship or editorial work.
• Proven experience leading institution‑wide research programs and interdisciplinary initiatives.
