ESD Technician – Calibration & ESD Control

About the role

We are looking for an experienced ESD Technician to join our semiconductor fab. The role focuses on calibrating and testing electrostatic discharge control equipment and ensuring compliance with industry standards in a cleanroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform calibration and functional testing of ESD control devices such as wrist straps, foot straps, mats, ionizers and monitors.
• Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments with traceability to NIST or equivalent standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits of ESD protected areas to verify compliance with semiconductor industry requirements.
• Document calibration results and update the calibration database in accordance with ISO 9001 quality management procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve ESD‑related issues.
• Support and deliver ESD awareness training for fab personnel.
• Ensure strict adherence to cleanroom protocols and safety regulations while performing all tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technological field; associate degree or technical certification in electronics or metrology preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in calibration and ESD control within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI/ESD S20.20, SEMI standards and cleanroom practices.
• Proven experience using calibration software and managing documentation in a regulated setting.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication and teamwork abilities.
