Epidemiologist Consultant

About the role

The Epidemiologist Consultant will serve as the principal subject‑matter expert within the Public Health function, guiding data‑driven strategies that protect crew and passenger health across the fleet. Based in Makati, the role reports to the Public Health Manager for Infection Control and works closely with clinical, operational and leadership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, evaluate and continuously improve integrated disease surveillance systems aligned with public‑health priorities.
• Monitor and interpret incidence and prevalence trends, providing evidence‑based recommendations for shipboard populations.
• Collect, analyze and visualise health data to identify emerging risks and advise on strategic responses.
• Support outbreak investigations with epidemiologic analyses and actionable guidance on containment and mitigation.
• Conduct risk assessments of global public‑health threats and perform predictive analyses to inform preparedness.
• Lead research on crew health, focusing on chronic disease management, vaccination strategies and preventive initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to embed epidemiologic insights into fleet‑wide health policies.

Required profile

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Epidemiology, Public Health or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in epidemiology, including surveillance, outbreak investigation and population‑health analytics.
• Experience in shipboard, remote‑workforce or similarly complex operational environments is preferred.
• Proven ability to advise senior leadership and shape strategic public‑health programs.
