English Online Mentor

About the role

Codeyoung is seeking an English Online Mentor to help learners aged 5‑17 improve their spoken and written English in a virtual classroom. This part‑time, remote position focuses on interactive, student‑centric sessions that build confidence and communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct engaging online English lessons tailored to different ages and proficiency levels.
• Provide constructive feedback on speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
• Create or adapt lesson materials that support communication, comprehension, and confidence.
• Use digital tools to track student progress and maintain engagement.
• Collaborate with the academic team to align sessions with program goals.
• Share observations on student performance and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Strong command of English with excellent speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities.
• Experience teaching or mentoring children or young learners online or in a classroom.
• Ability to design or adapt interactive, age‑appropriate lesson plans.
• Comfort with video‑conferencing platforms and basic troubleshooting of digital teaching tools.
• Clear, empathetic communication and motivation skills.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities, reliable scheduling.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Communications, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience with online education, edtech platforms, or after‑school programs is a plus.
