Engineer I Component Engineering

About the role

This early‑career position offers the chance to develop expertise in component engineering while supporting senior engineers in component management, compliance, and documentation. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable component selection for climate‑technology products.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess electronic components to verify compliance with technical specifications and performance criteria.
• Review datasheets, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to confirm component suitability and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support component lifecycle management, track obsolescence, and source alternatives.
• Partner with commodity managers, designers, and other stakeholders.
• Manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and perform BOM cost analysis to secure competitive pricing.
• Maintain organized and up‑to‑date component libraries and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards such as RoHS, REACH, UL, and other safety regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least one year of experience in component or sales engineering (fresh graduates welcome).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Hybrid work setup (three days on‑site per week) and day‑shift schedule.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical datasheets and specifications.
• Knowledge of component lifecycle management.
• Experience with RFQ handling and BOM cost analysis.
• Familiarity with RoHS, REACH, UL compliance standards.
