E&C Project Contract Manager

About the role

The Project Contract Manager will be stationed at the Ilo Ilo site, reporting to the Project Manager and functionally to the Head of International Contract Management in Paris. You will ensure the project's contractual obligations are fully understood, monitored, and fulfilled.

Key responsibilities

• Review, improve and enforce the Contract Management Plan and related procedures across the project team.
• Maintain and update the obligations register, tracking daily compliance and reporting to the central contract office.
• Prepare and issue contractual correspondence, including notices, warnings, instructions, and responses to clients, partners, and subcontractors.
• Manage subcontract contract administration and support the purchasing team in supplier negotiations.
• Identify contractual risks and opportunities, develop defensive strategies, and drive value‑engineering initiatives.
• Lead claim preparation, variation orders, and dispute resolution, including negotiation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Oversee contract close‑out activities, ensuring defect clearance and final completion certificates are obtained.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in project contract management within engineering and construction environments.
• Proven track record of handling subcontract contracts, claims, and variation orders.
• Strong analytical skills to anticipate risks and devise mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder coordination and dispute resolution.
