Duty Engineer

About the role

The Duty Engineer will ensure the safe and efficient operation of all engineering systems within Fairmont Makati, a luxury hotel in the heart of Manila. This role combines preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and rapid response to breakdowns to maintain high standards of guest comfort and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections of the kitchen, public areas, guest rooms, and stores.
• Perform preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and corrective works on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Identify and propose upgrades, improvement projects, and energy‑saving initiatives.
• Maintain engineering operations in line with quality standards and hotel policies.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in engineering repair, maintenance, or a similar role within a luxury hotel environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities, with strong attention to detail.
