Director of Operations

About the role

The Director of Operations – ISG leads the IS Contactor business at the Philippines factory, overseeing a team of roughly 400 employees across production, assembly, planning, and support functions. Reporting to the Managing Director and sitting on the Site Leadership Team, this senior leader drives safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity while shaping the organization’s operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all ISG operational functions, including machine shop production, assembly & test, planning, warehouse, and tool crib.
• Develop and control the budget and CAPEX for the organization, ensuring cost‑effective operations.
• Plan capacity to meet volume changes and new product introductions, managing product transfers and qualification timelines.
• Set and monitor KPI performance, building teams and culture to achieve targets.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, data analysis, and manufacturing tools.
• Administer quality policy, promote a Zero Defects culture, and deploy tools such as 8D, FMEA, Control Plans, OCAP, and DMAIC.
• Manage customer satisfaction programs, track issues, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with SCM and procurement to ensure supply‑chain quality and on‑time delivery.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental measures are in place and uphold business integrity.

Required profile

• Senior operational leader with experience managing large, multi‑disciplinary manufacturing teams.
• Proven track record in budget and CAPEX management, capacity planning, and NPI execution.
• Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to drive quality excellence and customer‑focused outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
