Director of Engineering

About the role

The Director of Engineering leads the engineering function across multiple large manufacturing sites, ensuring reliable, efficient, and sustainable operation of production and utility equipment. This senior leader drives strategic development, implementation of maintenance management systems, and continuous improvement initiatives to support business value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute plant maintenance strategies, including preventive maintenance programs and engineering processes for all major sites.
• Oversee utility operations (electricity, steam, compressed air, water, wastewater) ensuring compliance with Philippine regulations and uninterrupted supply.
• Set goals, create action plans, and standardize systems to optimize manpower, machinery, methods, and materials.
• Manage engineering teams, build capabilities, and foster a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain asset availability for equipment valued at over PHP 3 billion and develop long‑term plant masterplans.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, quality assurance, and other support functions to align on autonomous maintenance initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in engineering within large‑scale manufacturing or food production environments.
• Strong track record of managing multi‑site operations, budgets, and technical teams.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic maintenance and utility management plans.
