Director of Academic Excellence (Remote)

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a senior leader to serve as the chief architect of its evidence‑based learning model. The Director of Academic Excellence will translate rigorous learning science into operational systems that enable students to achieve accelerated outcomes while working remotely with global school partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design academic structures that turn learning‑science research into curriculum, motivation frameworks, and technology architecture.
• Conduct performance reviews with Heads of Academics to keep school teams aligned, accountable, and outcome‑focused.
• Integrate data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and field observations into ecosystem assessments that pinpoint obstacles to accelerated learning and propose concrete interventions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback loops, and progress monitoring to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
• Represent 2 Hour Learning at senior forums, keynote events, and meetings with Ministries of Education to champion systemic transformation.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Education, Learning Sciences, or a related field.
• Proven track record of building and scaling academic systems that deliver measurable student outcomes.
• Executive‑level experience leading cross‑functional academic teams in diverse school environments.
• Strong public‑facing communication skills and ability to influence education policy at national and international levels.
