DevOps Engineer

About the role

Datacom is looking for a DevOps Engineer to drive automation across its cloud‑based services. The role combines software development, operations and service delivery to create a seamless, “automation first” environment that supports customers in Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Promote an automation‑first culture and improve delivery maturity using agile/DevOps practices.
• Design, implement and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform, ARM templates and Bicep.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, TeamCity or Octopus Deploy.
• Develop and containerise applications using Kubernetes or Docker.
• Perform routine production analysis, ensure smooth operations and support security initiatives.
• Collaborate with system administrators, developers, testers, architects and business analysts.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services and infrastructure automation.
• Proven expertise in CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
• Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., AZ‑400, AZ‑104, AZ‑204, AZ‑500) preferred.
• Ability to pass technical assessments on IaC, PowerShell and Azure Functions.
