DevOps Engineer

About the role

You will join a team of engineers building an award‑winning digital bank for Macquarie’s Banking and Financial Services division. The team owns the end‑to‑end CI/CD platform, delivering reliable, scalable tooling that enables development teams to build, test and release software efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the CI/CD platform used across Banking and Financial Services.
• Implement automated testing, continuous delivery pipelines, and occasional production support.
• Identify gaps, improve tooling, and enhance the overall developer experience.
• Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to align platform capabilities with needs.

Required profile

• Experience with Java or Python and a willingness to learn Go.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and container technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience using AI tools to boost productivity or streamline workflows.
• Ability to break down complex problems and solve them systematically.
