Desktop Support Engineer – On‑site IT Support in Makati

About the role

The Desktop Support Engineer will provide on‑site IT infrastructure support for our Makati office, handling hardware, software and network issues while ensuring compliance with warranty and security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware problems on desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
• Install, configure and maintain Windows operating systems and desktop applications.
• Perform smart‑hand activities such as cabling, rack mounting and peripheral setup under instruction.
• Support LAN/WAN connectivity, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and RDP troubleshooting.
• Utilize ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy) to log, track and close incidents.
• Maintain anti‑spyware/anti‑virus solutions and assist with mobile device management platforms.
• Assist with VDI, SCCM/LanDesk/Altiris deployments and collaboration tools like Skype for Business and OneDrive.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of hands‑on IT desktop support experience.
• Associate’s degree in Electronics or related field and CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lb and work on‑site in Makati.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer‑focused attitude.
