Data Engineer (PHP & Web Scraping) – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong PHP expertise to design and implement web‑scraping solutions that collect and analyse website data for our client. The position is fully remote, based in the Philippines, and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PHP scripts to scrape data from various websites.
• Analyse the extracted data and transform it for downstream use.
• Interpret website design and layout to optimise scraping strategies.
• Inspect HTTP requests and responses to troubleshoot and improve data collection.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver projects on schedule.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Proficient PHP development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with website development and data scraping.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with reliable internet and personal computer.
• Willingness to use time‑tracking software and undergo background verification.
