Data Engineer (Hybrid – Manila)

About the role

Bridgit is seeking a Data Engineer to join its Tech Team in Manila. You will work on modern lakehouse architectures in AWS and Databricks, building both batch and streaming pipelines that power the company’s fast‑moving fintech products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise data pipelines for batch and streaming workloads using AWS and Databricks.
• Implement Medallion (Bronze‑Silver‑Gold) data models and transformation frameworks.
• Manage ETL/ELT processes with Azure Data Factory, Fabric Pipelines, or equivalent tools.
• Write high‑performance SQL queries and analytical models for reporting.
• Ensure data quality, reliability and lineage through testing, monitoring and documentation.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Maintain version control, branching and CI/CD pipelines using Git.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience delivering data engineering projects that include both batch and streaming workloads.
• Strong engineering mindset with hands‑on experience across the full data lifecycle.
• Proven ability to work closely with senior engineers, analysts and product owners.
• Passion for modern cloud‑native and AI‑driven data ecosystems.
