Cost Control Manager

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Cost Control Manager to join its construction business in the Philippines. You will be responsible for implementing cost‑control mechanisms, monitoring budgets, and ensuring financial compliance across large‑scale infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain the project budget, ensuring alignment with scope and schedule.
• Track actual costs against budgeted amounts and prepare regular cost reports and variance analyses.
• Provide accurate cost forecasts and update them to reflect changes in scope, schedule, or market conditions.
• Evaluate the financial impact of design changes, scope variations, and claims, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
• Identify potential financial risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor contingency usage.
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement, finance teams, contractors, and suppliers to validate cost data.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements, maintaining records for audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience evaluating cost impacts of project changes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cost management software such as Primavera.
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
