Controller – Remote (Work from Home)

About the role

The Controller will join Moneybacker’s leadership team and be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting functions while working remotely. This position ensures the accuracy, integrity and regulatory compliance of financial information and provides insights that support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, onboarding and development of tax and accounts‑receivable specialists.
• Create training materials, conduct weekly 1‑on‑1 coaching sessions and address skill gaps.
• Manage reconciliation processes for bank, inter‑company and general‑ledger accounts.
• Oversee service‑fee processing, AR aging, and ensure timely accounts payable, receivable and payroll transactions.
• Supervise monthly, quarterly and annual close, prepare QBO reports and present financial results to executive leadership.
• Monitor daily cash flow, forecast cash needs and implement controls to protect company assets.
• Track and report on KPIs such as training sessions, interview counts, service‑fee delivery rate, month‑end close time and liquidity coverage.

Required profile

• Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Formal education in accounting or business‑related courses.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
