Controller – Finance Team

About the role

Stagwell is seeking a Controller to lead key accounting functions for CORE Stagwell, the corporate entity that provides shared services across the Stagwell network. The role reports to the Global Controller and supports monthly financial results analysis for shared‑services leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and lead the month‑end close process.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and journal entry reviews.
• Oversee bi‑weekly payroll processing, journal entries, and related reconciliations.
• Manage the network’s month‑end reporting in line with global deadlines.
• Assist with treasury activities, including daily banking and cash forecasting.
• Utilize the ERP system to track initiatives and maintain project data.
• Review and approve monthly reconciliations of balance‑sheet and selected P&L accounts.
• Coordinate intercompany activity reconciliation with other Stagwell subsidiaries.
• Maintain corporate allocations and charge‑back billing for Stagwell brands.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP for accruals, cash, amortization, and depreciation.
• Oversee accounting operations, working with AP, AR, and billing teams to ensure proper coding and timely processing.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading month‑end close and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
• Experience managing payroll, intercompany transactions, and treasury functions.
• Ability to work with ERP systems and produce accurate reconciliations.
