Content Accounting Specialist

About the role

Netflix is looking for a Content Accounting Specialist to join its Manila office and support the global Content Accounting function. The role ensures timely and accurate reporting of content‑related transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP while collaborating with teams across the United States and other international locations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with global Content Accounting teams to understand and execute the workflow.
• Maintain financial integrity of content commitments, assets (capitalization), liabilities (payments), and expenses (amortization).
• Set up, maintain, and review content license contracts in proprietary systems, focusing on license fee uploads and payment terms.
• Support accounting set‑up for owned content, including estimated final cost reconciliation and locks.
• Reconcile data imports and exports related to content transactions.
• Prepare reclassification journal entries for relevant accounts.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks, support new initiatives, and contribute to organizational goals.
• Work flexible hours, including overtime during critical business periods.

Required profile

• 4+ years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Degree in a relevant field of study.
• Highly detail‑oriented with the ability to analyze and process large volumes of data accurately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and across time zones.
• Understanding of SOX compliance rules, guidelines, and requirements.
• Motivated, proactive, and capable of contributing process‑improvement ideas.
