Construction Manager

About the role

The Construction Manager leads the planning, budgeting, and execution of building projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The role can specialize in vertical construction (buildings, towers) or horizontal construction (infrastructure such as roads and bridges).

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, negotiate contracts, and manage project finances.
• Develop detailed work schedules and address emerging delays.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, building codes, and safety standards.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, subcontractors, and labor crews.
• For vertical projects: manage structural trades, interior layouts, elevations, and site logistics in urban settings.
• For horizontal projects: oversee earthmoving, grading, paving, utility installation, right‑of‑way acquisition, and phased execution across large sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
• At least 10 years of experience in a managerial construction role.
• Professional certification such as CMAA or local equivalent.
