Construction Manager – Coal‑Fired Power Plant

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead all on‑site construction activities for coal‑fired thermal power plant projects. You will ensure that work is carried out safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while meeting contractual, regulatory, and environmental requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee construction of major plant systems, including coal handling, boiler & auxiliaries, turbine‑generator, balance of plant, ash handling, flue‑gas treatment, and switchyard.
• Coordinate with EPC/EPCM contractors to align project execution with design specifications and client expectations.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve daily productivity targets.
• Monitor safety performance, enforce compliance with local regulations, and implement corrective actions.
• Control project costs, schedule progress, and quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Minimum 15 years of hands‑on experience in large‑scale industrial or power‑plant construction.
• At least 8 years in senior construction roles on coal‑fired plant projects.
• Proven experience working in EPC/EPCM environments for utility‑scale projects.
