Compute Consultant – PKI & Certificate Administration

About the role

We are looking for a Compute Consultant to own the lifecycle of PKI and TLS certificates across our enterprise compute platforms, including virtualized and hybrid environments. The role sits within the Compute/Infrastructure team and focuses on certificate issuance, renewal, rotation, and revocation to ensure continuous service availability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end certificate lifecycle (issue, renew, rotate, revoke) for internal PKI and public TLS certificates.
• Install and maintain certificates on Windows and Linux servers, IIS, Apache, Nginx, and load balancers such as F5, Citrix, HAProxy.
• Support certificate requirements in VMware and Azure Stack HCI hybrid compute platforms.
• Monitor certificate expiration, maintain inventory, runbooks and documentation, and prevent service outages.
• Respond to certificate‑related incidents in production and automate renewals using PowerShell, shell scripts or basic Python.
• Collaborate with Network, Security and Application teams to meet platform needs.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in compute, infrastructure or systems administration.
• 5+ years hands‑on PKI and certificate management experience.
• Strong knowledge of X.509, TLS/HTTPS and certificate chains.
• Experience with Active Directory Certificate Services or similar enterprise PKI platforms.
• Background working in regulated or audited environments is a plus.
