Compliance Review Officer

About the role

The Compliance Review Officer will lead monitoring, quality assurance and advisory activities for regulatory and AML/CFT compliance across Maybank Philippines Incorporated. Working closely with business units and regulators, the officer assesses the effectiveness of control measures, identifies gaps, and reports findings to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute risk‑based compliance review and testing plans, including validation of regulatory resolutions.
• Conduct quality‑assurance reviews of business units according to approved scope and resources.
• Identify regulatory gaps and non‑compliances, collaborate with stakeholders to create remediation action plans, and report to the Compliance Review Head/Chief Compliance Officer.
• Monitor progress of remediation efforts to prevent recurrence of issues.
• Assist the Compliance Review Head and Chief Compliance Officer in managing the bank’s regulatory compliance risk.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements, including AML/CFT obligations for financial organisations in the Philippines (advantageous).
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
