Compleat Platform Developer

About the role

Amex GBT is seeking a developer to design, build, and maintain functions on the Compleat automation platform, which streamlines processes for Travel Management Companies. The role combines software development, API integration, and support for internal travel‑technology users.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain Compleat functions as assigned by team leadership.
• Design and implement API integrations to extend Compleat capabilities and improve travel workflows.
• Leverage approved AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance code quality and accelerate development.
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve support tickets and change requests from internal customers.
• Thoroughly test and document new functionality to ensure performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address client‑specific requirements and enterprise projects.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Compleat functions, workflows, and system integrations.
• Participate in meetings, conference calls, and provide status updates to leadership.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in the travel industry, preferably with a travel agency or corporate travel management company.
• 3+ years development experience with Compleat or a comparable travel‑automation platform.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience using Sabre GDS.
• Strong prioritization, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Willingness to work at least half of the shift aligned with US Central business hours.
