Community Manager – Remote (Freelance)

About the role

The client is a global gaming company seeking a dedicated community manager to own day‑to‑day engagement across Reddit, X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Discord. This role connects players with internal teams, routes feedback, surfaces bugs and helps shape content in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Engage and moderate community spaces on six platforms, enforcing guidelines and keeping conversations alive.
• Capture player feedback, bug reports and sentiment, and relay them promptly to customer service, QA and engineering.
• Track trending topics, memes and cultural moments, flagging content opportunities for the content team.
• Collaborate on post ideation and creation, ensuring ideas feel native to each platform.
• Play the game regularly to stay fluent in its mechanics, culture and in‑jokes.

Required profile

• Regular player of the game or willingness to play frequently.
• Ability to shift voice authentically across Reddit, TikTok, Discord and other platforms.
• Keen eye for emerging memes and trends before they take off.
• Detail‑oriented mindset to ensure no feedback, bug report or DM falls through the cracks.
• Calm, fair moderation style even in heated discussions.

Required skills

• Platform fluency on Reddit, X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Discord.
• Experience with community moderation tools and practices.
• Trend‑spotting and translating cultural moments into content ideas.
• Cross‑functional reporting to route feedback and bugs efficiently.
