Communications Specialist – Internal & External Messaging

About the role

The Communications Specialist will develop, manage and implement communication materials that support SPX Express’s strategic and commercial initiatives. This role ensures clear, consistent messaging reaches both internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with internal teams to craft clear messaging for announcements, initiatives and updates.
• Create messaging templates, briefings and presentations for various stakeholder groups.
• Draft and distribute email cascades to external service providers regarding BAU changes, rates, incentives and initiatives.
• Draft and distribute email cascades to internal stakeholders concerning wage changes and related information.
• Maintain a cascade calendar and monitoring tracker to ensure communication requests meet SLA timelines.
• Update and maintain the external Service Provider Directory (per mile).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in communications, public relations or a similar role.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Creative thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
