Communications and Social Media Consultant

About the role

The United Nations Resident Coordinator Office in the Philippines is seeking a Communications and Social Media Consultant to strengthen its digital presence. The consultant will work closely with UN Information Centre Manila and the UN Country Team to create youth‑friendly, inclusive content that amplifies UN messaging across key platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive social‑media strategy targeting youth and under‑represented groups.
• Produce localized multimedia content (graphics, videos, reels, motion design) in English and Tagalog.
• Manage and execute digital campaigns on Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok and YouTube.
• Analyse performance data using Meta Insights, Twitter Analytics and Google Analytics and provide actionable reports.
• Train UNIC Manila staff and UN Philippines Communications Group on tools and best practices to ensure sustainability.
• Collaborate with the Resident Coordinator Office to align communications with UN priorities.

Required profile

• University degree in communication or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in social media, public information or public relations.
• Fluency in English and Tagalog; additional UN language is a plus.
• Proven track record of managing campaigns on major social platforms.
