Civil Inspector – Transportation Infrastructure

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Civil Inspector to supervise and monitor civil and structural construction activities for transportation infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, tunnels, and stations. The role ensures compliance with contract specifications, design standards, and regulatory requirements while supporting safe and timely project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all civil/structural construction activities related to transportation infrastructure.
• Oversee implementation of scope of works for earthworks, foundations, retaining structures, and pavement systems.
• Track construction progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, local authorities, and utility providers.
• Conduct quality inspections of materials and workmanship, issue Non‑Conformance Reports as needed.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports covering status, safety compliance, and quality metrics.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a Civil Inspector in the Power Plant sector.
• Registered Civil Engineer with a valid PRC license.
• Experience inspecting Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel and work on‑site.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AASHTO, ASTM, and DPWH standards.
• Proficiency with civil engineering codes and structural/civil standards.
• Experience with Solar PV and BESS inspection processes.
• Ability to conduct quality inspections and generate NCRs.
