About the role
The Category Manager (Food & Beverage) will lead the Food & Beverage vertical on the SM Malls Online platform, shaping strategy, driving growth, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. This role combines commercial planning, merchant partnership, and cross‑functional collaboration to meet revenue targets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and own the annual and quarterly category roadmap, identifying growth opportunities and emerging trends.
- Define assortment strategy, pricing guidelines, and promotional calendar aligned with platform objectives.
- Manage relationships with brands and merchants, set performance expectations, and oversee onboarding of new partners.
- Lead and coach Category Officers, allocate workloads, conduct performance reviews, and identify training needs.
- Monitor category GMV, conversion rates, and other key metrics; propose corrective actions and collaborate on marketing campaigns.
- Serve as primary escalation point for internal and external stakeholders and coordinate with Logistics, Finance, Marketing, and other departments.
- Present regular category performance updates to senior management.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Category Management, Business Development, Sales, or Account Management.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Graduate of a 4‑year degree in Business Management, Administration, Marketing, or Commerce.
