Cash Applications Specialist – Accounting Analyst

About the role

The Cash Applications Specialist supports the Finance function by processing customer payments and ensuring accurate accounting for the Manila shared services center. You will work closely with collections, finance, and audit teams to maintain clean receivable records and meet service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Process and reconcile cash receipts, bank statements, and remittance advice.
• Apply incoming payments, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Collaborate with the Collections team for payment and claim reconciliation.
• Prepare customer statements, handle refunds, and manage write‑offs/write‑ons.
• Generate and reconcile closing reports.
• Monitor service level targets and escalate issues promptly.
• Identify and participate in process‑improvement initiatives for cash applications and AR reporting.
• Maintain up‑to‑date process documentation and support internal or external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 0–2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Cash Applications, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and data‑entry accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards (JDE).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
