Business Planning Analyst

About the role

The Business Planning & Development Analyst supports the company’s strategic planning, capital budgeting, and business development initiatives. You will conduct research on the external business environment, monitor industry trends, and provide data‑driven insights to guide senior management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in resource allocation and optimization for capital projects.
• Review, endorse, and develop project economics for key capital initiatives.
• Coordinate approval processes, track spending, and prepare progress reports for capital projects.
• Support short‑, medium‑, and long‑term corporate planning, including economic briefings and strategy sessions.
• Gather and analyse macro‑economic, industry, and competitive data to shape planning assumptions and forecasts.
• Monitor industry demand, market trends, and macro‑economic indicators, producing periodic analytical reports.
• Provide data and written inputs for regulatory filings, annual reports, and investor‑relations materials.
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, customer segments, and emerging trends.

Required profile

• Preferably holds a CPA license.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in financial planning or corporate business planning.
