Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will drive sales growth and manage client relationships for an IT services and solutions provider. This role involves generating leads, nurturing accounts, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver tailored solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee lead generation, qualify opportunities, and convert leads into sales.
• Manage existing accounts, including segmentation, industry identification, client communication, and billing oversight.
• Conduct client needs analysis, prepare proposals, and deliver presentations.
• Generate regular reports such as pipeline updates, monthly/annual performance, and profit & loss statements.
• Coordinate with technical, implementation, and service teams to define scopes of work and ensure project delivery.
• Collaborate with the admin specialist to complete accreditation requirements and support accounts receivable paperwork.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in a similar B2B sales role within an IT services or managed services company.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and negotiating deals.
• Strong analytical, communication, active listening, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and handle financial documentation.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
