Business Development Engineer

About the role

The Business Development Engineer will support SMEC Philippines’ growth by assisting the Business Development Officer in identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and maintaining client relationships. This role is based in Pasig City and focuses on expanding the company’s presence in the Philippine public‑sector market.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor major Philippine government procurement portals (e.g., PhilGEPS, DPWH, NEDA) for new business opportunities.
• Coordinate with potential clients to communicate SMEC’s services and capabilities.
• Respond promptly to client queries and feedback regarding delivered services.
• Assist in drafting and finalising business proposals, EOIs, and marketing collateral.
• Help develop strategies to improve client satisfaction and drive business growth.
• Support marketing activities, including maintaining a databank of consultant CVs, presentations, and brochures.
• Participate in forums, seminars, conferences, and client events to promote SMEC’s offerings.
• Maintain a client relationship management database and use it for targeted communications.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in business development or a similar role.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Self‑motivated and able to thrive in a results‑driven environment.
