Budget Analyst

About the role

The Budget Analyst supports the Section Head in implementing bank‑wide budgeting guidelines. The role involves gathering data from various groups, analysing it, and producing the annual capital and operating expense forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing and consolidating the annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets, reviewing submissions and preparing reports.
• Track actual spending against budget, certify CAPEX requests, prepare monthly summaries, analyse variances and explain discrepancies.
• Manage budget modifications in financial systems such as Oracle and EPM, recommend reallocations and implement approved changes.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, monitor AML rules, maintain internal controls and support audit readiness.

Required profile

• BS degree in Accountancy.
• Strong functional knowledge of fund sources, balance‑sheet and income‑statement analysis, transfer pricing, management accounting and chart of accounts.
• Experience in basic accounting, credit‑related policies, database management and general accounting standards.
