Bin File Developer

About the role

MicroSourcing is seeking a skilled Bin File Developer to join its remote team. You will work on disassembling and analyzing binary files for new motorcycle models, creating and maintaining bin file definitions, and enabling advanced ECU features.

Key responsibilities

• Disassemble and analyze binary files, including bare‑metal assembly code, for motorcycle model integration.
• Create and maintain .NET/C# bin file definitions for new models.
• Identify and define critical ECU maps such as fuel and ignition parameters.
• Reverse engineer binaries to unlock additional software capabilities.
• Perform advanced binary pattern matching and code analysis using tools like IDA Pro or Ghidra.
• Collaborate with the development team to deliver error‑free software definitions.
• Document findings, methodologies, and outputs for ongoing product improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience reverse‑engineering assembly code for microcontrollers (e.g., Renesas RH850, M32R, SH70xx, M16C).
• Strong background in Microsoft .NET and C# development.
• Experience with Visual Studio and Windows Forms.
• Proficiency with reverse‑engineering tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
