Backend Software Engineer - AI Neobank App

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to help build the core systems behind our AI‑powered Neobank app. You will design and implement reliable APIs, workflows and financial product infrastructure that serve millions of users across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs and data pipelines for the AI Neobank platform.
• Support product lines including insurance, payments, wallet, savings, investing, travel and other financial services.
• Design robust systems for user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation, notifications and operational processes.
• Collaborate with product, mobile and operations teams to deliver customer‑facing journeys quickly.
• Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, data providers and other third‑party partners.
• Improve system reliability, observability, security and performance while ensuring auditability for regulated products.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in API design, databases, system architecture and production debugging.
• Proven experience building scalable services and integrating third‑party systems.
• Good understanding of security, reliability, data quality and operational edge cases.
• Ability to balance speed, quality and risk with practical trade‑offs.
• Comfortable working cross‑functionally with product, mobile, operations and business teams.
• Fintech, payments, insurance, lending or regulated‑product experience is a strong advantage.
